very soft poo.
Ive had my puppy for 9 days now. he has had his first lot of shots and first wormer.
I have been feeding him on JWB duck and rice, his poo has been really soft since i got him with no signs of firming up, should i wait a while or try a differnt flavour of JWB or change his foood completly

Re: very soft poo.
Personally I would wait a little longer, it could be the wormer and/or the jabs that are affecting his system. Silly question but I take it he is on the puppy varitey

Re: very soft poo.
yeah hes on the puppy food, the women i got him off was feeding him adult wagg complete. so i changed it straight away.
ive just got off the phone with my vet, asking about the wormer and may be changing the food. i asked obut the royal canin and he told me that the JWB and the royal are made in the same factory and that the royal canin is sensetive is made out of duck.
So my vet has said that he would stick with the JWB and see how he is in a couple of weeks.
Tahnks for your reply janey.

Re: very soft poo.
Moo was on Royal Canin, she had terrible diareah when I first got her (she was older than your boy) and RC Sensitiviy control food was the only thing to help!
I eventually changed her to JWB, which was fab but her stools where always a little loose and now she is on Fish4Dogs. This was a 2 year process though, but I finally found one that suits.
Give it a little more time and see

Re: very soft poo.
puppies get into everything and may not be the food. I like to give my dog pumpkin puree make sure its not the pie filling! what I did this year was bought a bunch of pumpkins during halloween and I pureed them (after i baked them) and i put a tablespoon in her food. It really helps, Im a firm believer of raw dog food (i know its not always affordable) but its the best thing I ever done for her, shiny coat, small poo's less stinky. never a runny *. (oops, can i say that?) anyhow try the puree pumpkin. coconut oil is also good for them too. let me know how it goes.
