My Poor girly is terrified.

we had new neighbours move in across the street, and low and behold they have a staffie . I saw the guy take him out today hes a beautiful brindle staffie and is about 9 - 11 months (judging by size that is!), i thought to be nice going to indroduce me and scarlett so maybe she had a friend, and a i could meet the new neightbour. But the staffie came about half way up the path growling at her, then started barking like mad and came flying at us (of course i was krapping myself because he looked like he was gunna chew scarlett to bits!), poor scarlett had her ears down and tail between her legs crying at me to pick her up, so i ran her inside with scarlett in arms and when the guy called his staffie over he kicked the living daylights out of him i am phong RSPCA tomorro because if this behaviour of the owners keeps going that dogs going to defend itself if it feels threatened and the last thing i want is someone of someones dog being attacked. I actually felt liek taking the dog in because it looked so upset after the ordel but i dont know how dangerous the dog may be so im sticking to some common sense and getting it reported!

Very unusual for a dog to go for a puppy, the dog must be very un-socialized and traumatized.
You could take it in, perhaps approach the owner and ask if you can take him for a walk and see what he's like one to one?
Or you could set his house on fire for being such a scum bag.

Yeah I might do jade! I'm actually really annoyed about it! I did find mysel cursing and swearing at him when I was inside my house! I hope i see him tomorrow because his dog is beautiful

That is horrible. I agree with Jade that this behavior is highly unusual but might not be as big of a suprise seeing how horrible the dog is being treated!

I'd go and approach the owner before even thinking about reporting it, go have a chat with him. Did he seem approachable at the time ? How did he react at how his dog reacted ? As stated above already, the dog could be unsocialised.

i dont think ill be going near him was out with scarlett this morning have a ciggrette and i look at him smiled and i got "what the f**k you lookin' at?!" so i think ill steer clear lol

But yeah i dont think hes been socialized, i know a guy who i talk to who has a pedigree staffie and it even went for his dog (and his dog he very very well behave as i know them both well!). His dogs Spencer is 2 and a half and wouldnt bat an eyelid at anyone or any dog.

there are some very very strange people around where i live so i keep the peace and keep myself , to myself.

But i thought it be ncie to meet another staffie owner but no he turns out to be a nasty so and so lol!

I did however meet a woman outside the shop who has a staffie called Stella and had a nice talk with her She was beautiul brown and was so friendly so kinda cheered me up after being snapped at

Agree, my old boy was DA but when it came to puppy's he was amazing with them.
Id of lost my cool seeing that so you did well not to react to him as it MAY of made situations worse, i agree with the phoning of the RSPCA tho

I think your neighbour sounds like one I would stear clear of. I know the right thing to do would be to report the incident to the RSPCA or local dog warden/police however having said that I would be fearful of retaliation from the guy.

Sounds like his dog behaviour is a product of how it is being treated. Very sad.

How dare he speak to you-anyone!-like that. Who the hell does he think he is?! I would have lost my temper completely, I feel for you having to live near such a degenerate low-life.
And to think he's in charge of another living creature. The poor dog, I would definitely report him and try to get on film him abusing the dog. Another reason I think people should have to take a test to get a dog licence to keep dogs.

Sorry I missed the first bit about him kicking his dog. I'd reprt it straight away before it's too late.

Once when Romeo was a pup my mum opened the door and he ran outside and up the road. She didn't even try to catch him, just stood there. I ran after him and he nearly got run over by some pr**k in a one of those huge inappropriate cars. I screamed at the man that 'do you have a car that big to make up for your tiny d**k you ugly b******?!'
He called me a fat c*** and chased me up the road to my nan's house and she came outside and hit him with her walking stick and told him to stop harassing women.

Filthy scum bag. I don't get how some people can act like that, especially to your neighbours! No body will help him if they see someone break into his house!!

I hope you do make that call to the RSPCA. A guy like that should suffer with his own company, not have a dog and ruin its life with his own stupidity.

ive called them and i dont care if he starts my partner said if he trys anything his face will hit the floor (my partners can pack a punch ive seen it before lol!) but yeah he saw me come outside with scarlett this afternoon and got the dog out and started shouting "fetch" and "go get her", but i let scarlett do her buisness and went back inside. He doesnt frigten me but i swear to god if he send thats dog running towards her i wont have any bones about pinning it to the ground or being bitten for the sake of my scarlett.

If anybody spoke to my missus like that I wouldn't hesitate in knocking his front teeth out ( thats if he still has them).
As for the dog behaviour, my first port of call would be the dog warden and then the police immediately after. Highly aggressive dogs like that are a menace.Let me rephrase that,owners like that are a menace and need to be dealt with appropriatly. I know its not the dogs fault but he/she could be dangerous and needs to be romoved from that total waster he probably wouldn't even make a good w**ker never mind a good dog owner.

i also just found out its the same guy who tried to set his dog on me! went to a friends house who lives round the corner to show scarlett on the way back we saw a owner (who was acting like he was god gift!) with the same dog, he then got it to bark at us and i mean it was pulling him and barking like mad! Then started telling him to "sic them" and the dog started getting more aggressive! the only thing that scares me, is i have arthritis in my left knee and need a crutch to walk and i had scarlett in my arms i cant excatly run! Im not scared of staffies one bit but this one is making me a bit nervous. I cant stand people who use there dogs as bodyguards and hes now letting this dog walk the streets when he lets the dog out. So i might check up on RSPCA tomorro and see what they say and tell them that this guy has tryed to set this dog on me before.

I cant believe that people like this exist outside of a tv screen - its just not needed - To intimidate a stranger without provocation and be aggressive and then use a dog too, is a warning sign to stay well away, sounds like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off, say nothing and let the authorities deal with it - although as previous have said - it could make matters a lot worse ... stay safe

Yeah I've had a phone call saying that they will be around today and let me know what happenes to the doggie as I said I have a staffie cross and I'd like to know if he will be put down or what he's a young doggie would be a waste! He could make a family very happy if treated right xxxx

the RSPCA have just phoned me about 20 mins ago the dogs been taken away as there are clear signs of dog abuse (she mentioned he had 4 cracked ribs the poor soul!), also some minor injuries, so hes beent aken away for treatment and shall be put up for re homing, also saw the police there today so im guessing hes be charged with something!

Awe really pleased they took the doggie away hopefully it will behave differently with them and they'll be able to find him/her a lovely new home!

well the woman phoned me asked if i knew anyone who would take him in after hes healed (she said hes been a bundle of joy when he got away from them but is showing signs of fear and anixety towards males, which i dont blame the poor dog!) so my friend who has been looking for a rescue staffie i have forwarded her number and address, she has no kids, other dogs and is single and is very intrested and is going to vist him friday! i shall keep you posted if she gets him or not and ive heard his name is Kyzer

Well to let you guys now my friend is now a proud owner of a staffie! shes taking him on! she gets him 2 weeks from today, cant wait to meet him a changed dog, i know she will be a fab owner!!!!

just be careful now incase he suspects you for reporting him! (hope not to scare you but just be realistic) I also wouldnt leave scarlett alone anywhere outside the house (you never know what the crazies are capable of!)

yeah i am, scarletts never ever off lead outside and me or the OH is always wit her, got a harness for her now and she always tightly strapped in when she goes loo, (as she cant be trusted and will only go toilet on lead!) but shes had second set of injections yesterday, so 7 - 10 more days and its starting time for walkies!!

oh my god what a scum bag just take care he doesnt have it in 4 u now! is it your own home or housing * as you can always inform council or whom ever on whats going on! well done for sticking up for yourself and the poor staffy you saved! lets hope the scum gets what he so deserves one day!!

There are lots of staffs round here the majority of them used to scare people and to shyte on the pavement (reported that because its bleeding disgusting the amount of foul!)

Hehe ty well someone needs to speak up for our beloved doggies! I'm glad I helped when I could and I know for a fact he's going to a great home! And had an hour phone call she said his paw was wrapped in bandage due to a infected nail (it had been ripped out!) he had bruises all over his rib area, he was found with tiny holes all over his back legs ( the vet can only describe as being stabbed with safety pins!) and the found he's actually been parctially blinded in one eye! So he's booked for surgery tomorrow for his eye and he's been give anti biotics for his wounds she said that they planned to give him in 2 week but obvisoly a little bit longer due to surgery! I'm just disgusted what happened to this poor thing!

I know! She got told he had loads if them, it isn't a skin condition as the bet said its not rashy or spread anywhere and te partial blindness can be fix due to him having an untreated cyst! So I'm glad that it can be repaired! But he's had to be injected and everything because obvisoly that scum couldn't care less! So he's been microchipped in my friends name and he's on the road to recovery now! Things can only go upwards

Pleased to hear the little guy has found a loving home at last that he deserves. Some people just havn't a clue and should never be able to home a dog.

I think he will thrive now because he has a loving home I'm sure he will settle in well.
