Hi there from Staffie Rescue!

I have been meaning to join this forum for some time, sorry it has taken me so long!

My name is Sharon and I work as a volunteer for Rescue Remedies and sister rescues Staffie Rescue & Terrier Rescue. I post all the dog ads on about 20+ sites and run/am Admin on the Rescue Remedies Forum. I often deal with front of house enquiries for the rescue dealing with the press/media and a lot of the general enquiries. If I have spare time I visit the kennels to walk our dogs and take pics to update the websites with. I also do some homechecks in the Essex area.

Rescue Remedies is run solely by volunteers and is a registered charity. We are a small and friendly team and we home approx. 250 dogs a year. All our dogs are neutered/spayed, microchipped, vax'd, flea and worm treated and all our potential homes are homechecked prior to adoption. We rely solely on donations and adoption fees and all monies go towards payment of our vet & kennel bills - no expenses of any kind are taken out. We do not discriminate against age, breed or health issues - if we have room at our inn the next dog comes in regardless.

I am married and work full-time and have 3 furries of my own ... a Red Patterdale (ex-biter) and two Westies, one of which is an ex-puppy farm breeding bitch. I have lived with dogs all my life ... Poodles, Cairn, Collie, Collie x lurcher, Springer X, Yorkie & Chihuahuas. It's likely that my next dog will be a Staffie (but my husband doesn't know that yet) ... well who could resist the smiles, kisses and cuddles of the breed.

I don't think I have ever met a dog I didn't like or one that I didn't stroke! Thanks to my mum, the love of dogs are in my genes!

Well my fur babies are terriers of a different kind. My first Rescue Remedies dog was Tex who I like to say is an ex-biter! LOL! He is full of character! Rescue Remedies is the main rescue - the umbrella that Staffie Rescue & Terrier Rescue fall under. They are all the same rescue run by the same small team. Getting Tex four years ago is how I started working for RR. I had already been working for a rescue in Spain so it seemed natural to get involved here too. I then added Sadie, an ex-puppy farm girl and Holly who was surrendered to me and my hubby wanted her to stay! I love dogs, but have fallen for terriers big time! I used to have Collies/Lurchers, but I don't think there is a breed I don't like because ... I just love dogs! I don't usually choose my next addition, they choose me and it just happens through circumstance! Here are my current pack ...

Love taking pics of our rescue dogs too - this is Marvel, am just putting his ad up everywhere ... he is a complete teddy bear, have a soft spot for him
