do the dap collars work to calm dogs

thinking of trying this calming collar

i dont know if they work

Never used one myself

all i know is they release a pheromone that's supposed to calm them down. have you looked in to a thunder shirt? have read some good reviews on how these can help make a dog feel more secure/calmer

I've heard good reports of them, but I've never used one.

What's the reason for wanting one?

Fefliway works on cats and it's the same idea with pheromones, same makers i think. I used a plug in diffuser .

Lola has been wearing one for just over two weeks. She was going through a very anxious phase, even the vet commented about it and suggested this to us. She is particularly bad when travelling in the car, shaking uncontrollably. Overall she is not as anxious and jumpy, but the collar has not helped up to yet with the shaking in the car.

Rocky was wearing a collar when he was at the rescue centre when we first met him. He kept it on for a few weeks and I think it did help to calm him. The spray is good too.

I have used the dap plug in for Jethro..it helped sometimes..but not others! ( work that out! )
Have had pretty good success with the thundershirt though.
