DRY FOOD HELP PLEASE
Hi all
Im new to here and need some help please. I have a 14mth old male Staffie named Buster, i have had him for 5mths. He is the first Staffie i have had iam used to Bernese Mountain Dogs and Labradors but always wanted a Staffie.
He can be very fussy with dry food but don't want to keep him on wet food. Iam looking for some suggestions for some dry food, I have also had a friend recommend a dog food called Pero which does food formulated for a few different breeds. Can anybody tell me if they have heard of it and if it is anygood:
http://www.pero-petfood.co.uk/products/p0018pero-staffordshire-bull-terrier-12kg
Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Re: DRY FOOD HELP PLEASE
I know when i had the Bernese Mountain Dogs we fed them on Eukanuba and soaked the food. I have been giving him sardines once a week with that due to the oils being good for his coat.

Re: DRY FOOD HELP PLEASE
Hi I changed Elllie from wet food to Royal Canin dry food -1 and a half cups (standard coffee mug size) twice per day with one sardine added every second day. I also give her a denta stick and a bakers treat each day-she seems to be thriving and is a perfect build -she gets two hours walking every day and a run in the garden

Re: DRY FOOD HELP PLEASE
Wagg isn't one of the better feeds, but it's nowhere near as bad as, say, Bakers!
Although I wouldn't feed it, if your dog likes it & is doing well on it, I probably wouldn't change.

Can you tell me if you get much dog waste using this food?
Re: DRY FOOD HELP PLEASE
I tried getting a sample of them and they were going to charge £15 delivery to Northern Ireland. So if you find any place stocks it here do please let me know.
I have a real fusspot and the only thing she will eat currently is Barking Heads. Though every time I think I've found something she likes it only lasts a week or so and she goes completely off it again.

Re: DRY FOOD HELP PLEASE
Yes Gary you can - breeder is from Banbridge - bit of a story as to how we got her! Someone bought her and after a week decided he didn't want her anymore. We kind of guessed it was because she was biting/nipping so badly plus she was locked in a utility room for 8-10hrs a day all alone. We hadn't really thought of a dog - it had been 20yrs since we last had one but a terrier was always our first choice. My partner got a call from a friend about the pup and we loved her from the second we saw her. We think of her as a 'rescue pup' can't imagine the life she would have had locked up all day long.
I see you have a red one too. I met a woman in the local park the other day also with a red bitch and she asked the same thing as she had to go to Bangor for one. I'm not sure about your area but red seems to be a rare colour around here.
Must get a more up to date pic she's 8 months now.

Re: DRY FOOD HELP PLEASE
I have switched Bella to Pero and have to say her waste has gone done to 2 maybe 3 per day, and no bad odours from her back end, plus she loves it, so I am very happy.

And they wondered why the poor creature was biting? She must have been bored out of her skull & so frustrated!
