Mostly not unless there is a real reason that I should (mud, excessive slobber, "other items on the fir"). I'll even pet them while I'm eating. Yep, no problem in my mind. I do wash after shaking hands with people though.

I'll wash my hands if I'm going to be preparing food straight afterwards, but not otherwise. I'm just a slob!

Re: Do you wash your hands after petting your dog(s)/a dog...
I really like my hands to feel clean and soft, so if there is a time that I have patted or played with Russell I wont always wash my hands, but if they feel a bit sticky or clammy or something doesn't feel nice on them I have to wash them!
and if I smell them and they stink like stinky dog who has rolled in something dead.
but yeah.. mmm sometimes.

I said sometimes because I dont if Ive just been having a stroke etc but I do if they have flea treatemnt on, after I have been applying Caseys ointment or anything medical and after a lot of slobbering and playing with smelly toys but not after a general hug and pat!

Only if I'm preparing food but if I'm sitting snacking then I will pat her while I eat. Usually have no choice as she is up with me wondering when she is getting her share

Nope unless of cause they have rolled in something ... but in saying that the smell given off of the offending mess they think is doggie cologne is enough for me to knock given them a stroke right on the head, till after they have had a bath

No.
I also give him chicken breast, let him take a bite, then take a bite from the same chicken myself, and repeat....
