Puppy Paws and Snow..
When Logan is living with us, do i need to protect his little puppy paws from the ice and snow? He is 5 months old and his little pads are still so soft and smooth and dont want to damage him. Should i just put some paw balm on after walkies? What do you guys do with your puppys paws or am i being a little over-sensitive (but it has been around -5 here so far today!)

Re: Puppy Paws and Snow..
I know when my Star was little it was the salt and grit that she didn't like, think it was stinging her, she would jump up at me so i would wipe her paws. This year im getting a wax which is for protecting dogs pads from salt, grit ect., she still not liking it when she walks on some of the salt or grit the council put down.. I will find the link and put it on here for you..

Re: Puppy Paws and Snow..
I've never put anything on paws unless there's a problem with them. If you build up the exercise, even on snow, slowly & gently the paws will roughen by themselves. You'll only get problems if you do too much too soon.
