I'm not keen on tinned food, either, and the pouches I think are expensive & a waste of money! Much prefer dry or raw.

However, unless you plan to switch to raw, I'd keep him on puppy till he's at least 7 or 8 months old, and if you're feeding dry then I'd wait till about a year old before changing.

Id keep him on the same until he is 1 years old then switch to dry, unless like Caryll says and your switching to raw

I dont want him on tinned food but i want him on dry food. So its best to live him on puppy dry mix and pouches till his 8 or 9 month old

If your feeding a high quality food then you can swap anytime from 6 months to a year old if ur feeding a low quailty food then i would say wait till a year old. The main difference between the puppy and aduly food is the fat content. I'll swap kaos over sometime in the next month or so he's 6 months now. x

Can I just ask why you're giving him a pouch food as well as the dry?

Raw eggs are ok in small doses - a couple a week are fine. Too many inhibits the absorption of certain vitamins & minerals.

They are good for extra protein, vitamins & are great for addind an extra shine to the coat!

Sorry, bigwazza - that question was meant for you! Blushing

Hehehe! A raw egg twice a week won't add that much protein!

But, yes, he's probably trying on the dresses again! Big Grin

On the sardines was going to give him then once a day and a raw egg once a week. And the reason is extra protein and give him a little boost.

I've just found this out.

I thought I was doing the right thing by feeding Lola wet food morning and night, with another bowl by the side of dried bakers, then just bakers at dinner time.

But just this last week she has the most terrible smelling poop and it's turning very soft.

As she is still being house trained, she smells the house out, it's awful.

So I guess I should stop the wet food straight away and give her dried food, but which to give?
