BBC News Dressing up Pets
Just found this article on the BBC news site about dressing up of pets. Some of the images are ...strange to say the least, well make up your own mind.

Re: BBC News Dressing up Pets
Well i think we all know i dressed lexi up at xmas. But that was for 5mins and a little bit of fun and cost me £2. I don't get these people that spend £100s if not £1000s on outfits, and travel all over their countries to compete etc. Its just so unnatural. Cats haaaaaate dressing up, that cat looks terrified. I mean a coat for a little dog with hardly no fur is okay if its really cold, but it doesnt have to LOOK good, just do the purpose it is needed for!!

I did actually think that red riding hood was a little priceless. For Tilly it was great fun when she was a pup but now the OH is limited to halloween and xmas

now now now ... unless its Halloween
i love halloween and christmas but then that sall of ten minutes for a laugh some of these people do this all the time but then again the people that make the clothes must be minted cos have you seen the prices. i think i will have to learn to be a seamstress and make doggy clothes i could retire in 5 years thanks to people like paris hilton

Re: BBC News Dressing up Pets
Violet has an extensive wardrobe. I was pretty adamant before we got her that she would not be ONE OF THOSE DOGS. But then she started shivering, and seemed happier with a jumper on, then for a while she refused to go outside without one (I was about to take her to the vets because I thought she was sick, but it turned out she just wanted her coat on) and now we do 'right sleeve, left sleeve' to get her jumpers on. I've also found that when she's out in her bright pink jumper, everyone forgets that they don't like staffies and can't get enough of petting her.
We tell her she looks beautiful in her jumper, and she seems happy and struts about so everyone in the room can see just how beautiful her outfit is. Last week my mum said that something was more beautiful than Violet, and Violet erupted - I've never seen a dog look so horrified!
We only put t shirts and jumpers on her though - no wigs, hats, glasses or trousers! I reckon that she needs to wear something when it's cold, so it might as well be something that looks good - same as humans, we don't need to wear nice clothes, but we might as well.

Re: BBC News Dressing up Pets
Will have to get Violet a power suit for our court appearance on those charges. Maybe something in pinstripe with shoulder pads...
