Gone off her dried food
Pixee was fed Hills Science Plan Advanced Fitness, Adults 1 - 6, Chicken dried, at the blue cross. We brought a bag home to continue. She has been with us 4 1/2 weeks now. The last couple of days, she seem to have turned her nose up at it. As she is still eating her tip bits when we go out on walks, I know she is fine, and on a night time I give her scraps, only little bit, about a table spoon of what ever we eat to a deegree for being good in the kitchen, she is eating those. It can be bacon, rice, beef, cooked carrots, nothing spicy at all. Hubby thinks its due to that that she is going off her food. Any advice please.

Re: Gone off her dried food
I think they do get bored of there food, although remember they won't let themselves starve! You could try not giving her any treats at all and see if she will eat it. Failing that when Moo went off JWB I would mix some very watered down gravy with it and then she lapped it up again. Although this didn't last very long so in the end I swapped her onto Fish4Dogs and I get an empty bowl every time

Lynn...your hubby as hit the nail on the head ... because your giving her bits here and there it's sent her abit choosie and off what she's used to eating, i know it's hard as i've been there myself but cut the rest out and she'll turn back to it when she's hungry. it's those eyes that do it

Re: Gone off her dried food
Thank you Terry and Steve, stephen, not you again (lol).
You are right its those eyes that gets you
And yes I will try mixing it with her food, instead, but hard depending on what time we eat, oh dear, I need to be harder, yikes! She seem to like rice I have cooked mixed with her food and some water down gravy, licked the bowl clean last night.
Better listen to my husband more
