Tally - Rehomed
Tally is a 12 month old English Bull Terrier cross. She is currently on foster in West Malling, Kent.
The Tally Fact File
Dog status: Excellent, good doggy manners and loves to play
Cat status: Unknown but young enough to learn
Child status: Very good, can be rehomed with children aged 5 years plus and would love their company
House training: Very good (has to be encouraged out if raining!!!)
Home alone: Happy to be left for short periods
Basic training: Very clever girl. Walks nicely on the lead, good recall, knows her basics like sit, down, stay, leave etc.
What a stunning girl. Beautiful markings, lovely coat and the sunshine personality to go with it. What more could you ask?
Her foster mum says she is the easiest dog they have ever looked after.
Tally is very dog friendly and would love to have canine company in her new honme. She could be rehomed as a single dog but would need lots of entertainment and stimulation. She is currently living with other dogs in foster and is excellent with them and loves to play with new doggy friends she meets out on walks.
Tally has not lived with a cat before but she is still young. With very careful introductions and a confident cat who would stand their ground she may be able to be integrated.
Tally is an English bull terrier cross and the breed can have a reputation for being hard to train. Not the case with Tally. She is intelligent, biddable and a very easy dog to train. She attended puppy classes when young and has a grasp of all the basics, she has very good recall off the lead and is learning to walk nicely on it (she just needs to learn to walk nicely for the first few minutes when she is super excited to be out!)
Tally is very good with people and very well socialised. She adores everyone and is very good to handle. She can be bouncy and excited when she meets new people.
Tally was rehomed and was returned through no fault of her own. She lived with children from 7 years upwards and was very well behaved and loving with them. She would be an excellent companion for children to run around with in the park and cuddle up to on the settee at night.
Tally is a bit of a wimp and does not like the rain. She has to be encouraged out for a wee when it is pouring down but she is house trained the rest of the time. Tally is comfortable being left for a few hours if she has a kong or a bone to chew on and has been walked beforehand. However, she would not be suitable for a full time worker due to her age and her love of being in the thick of the action. Part time workers or going to work with somebody would be good. Even when people are around Tally likes to have something to do with her mouth and always needs access to her own toys to have a chew on or an activity toy to have her meal from. This will ensure the safety of your shoes!
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
Tally is an absolute wonderful dog and a complete delight; she is very friendly with other dogs and has impeccable doggy manners.
She has settled back into my pack very easily and you would not think she has been gone. She really needs a home with other dogs or somebody who can give her enough walks and entertainment as she is still a puppy at heart, well a large puppy anyway who would actually prefer to be a lap dog.
This girl really deserves a home that is going to be stable for her she has had a lot of changes in her very short life but it hasn’t changed her lovely sweet nature.
Look past the breed and you will find a very gentle soul.
Her last family had children as young as 2 and she was perfect with them.

Re: Tally - Rehomed
Tally orginally came to Hope as a puppy and has now been returned. This means we have a complete history for her; she has previously lived with a 3 year old with no problem so we feel she would be fine to live with a 2 year old and 4 year old
If you would like an interest form forwarding to you if you PM me an email addy I will send one through, otherwise you can find details on the Hope Rescue forums.

Hi this gorgeous dog is nearby to us Tally seems like the perfect pal for Milo with his playfull, gentle nature. Can I ask why she has been returned? I am as keen as mustard but have to admit my hubby is not so sure of having two BT type dogs

Re: Tally - Rehomed
Tally was returned due to a major change in her new owners circumstances after only a few months of her being there.
