Advice please (yucky warning!)

River has just come into season, noticed tiny blood spots in snow (nice!!!) what do i do.. is there anything i need to so..(other than clear up behind her etc..) i have just arranged to get her spayed next week as well obviously that cant happen now...there is no male dogs about in house or in the area that i am aware off. argh!...

You'll be fine, get some hygiene pants from P@H, they really where a god send.

Always keep her on lead from now on and try and walk her when others aren't, just saves you the hassle.

She maybe a little under the weather but all will be ok. Moo came into season on the day of her op so I know how you feel! You'll have to wait 3 months until you can have her booked in again

thank you, i thought it was funny she was weeing every 5 minutes for the last few days and running of further than normal. wouldnt leave my side for the last couple of days .etc.. well now i know lol.. cant get out now cos im snowed in, but gonna order some hygiene pants offline now. thank you both x

Aww bless her!! .. Dya know its not as bad as alot of people make out, they keep themselves clean some people over exaggerate and say "omg theres blood all over the place" etc not the case .. AS said above keep her on lead, when skye came into season i always took her out when i knew there would be less dogs i.e early morning and after dark .. She never went to the main park because theres dogs around every corner of leads so better to be safe than sorry.
It was over pretty fast to be honest with you, the weeks flew by and before i knew it the swelling shrunk (because she swelled and looked like a pair of socks dangling from her bum haha) and bleeding stopped and she was back to normal .
Expect a slight change in moods, she may be clingy and want to do nothing but cuddle and look very down, its all normal with the hormones, bigger boobies lol skyes have not long gone down and she started in november!! lol .. Hygiene pants are a good thing too

she is not allowed on the furniture most of the time anyway unless i say so lol and she is very clingy wants lots of cuddles even from my daughter lol.. and she looks like she is sulking all the time.. good job she dont sleep on me bed anymore lol oh and just ordered some pants things and liners offline thank you
