Hi new to staffies and new here :)

Hi i am Sam,
I am due to get a staffie puppy at the end of the month. I currently have a 3yr old JRT and run my own online pet shop. I have always loved SBT'S but my family are not happy as i have a 3yr old son too. Has anyone else came across this type of reaction?

Me and the trio have had that reaction from many people as have my friends who own staffies and children.

I dont have kids but have plenty of god kids which visit regularly and walk with me and the 3 dogs and get some horrid comments and dirty looks but we just carry on.

Unfirtunatly, by owning this beed we get slated and stared at just purely due to media scaremongering.
If you bring your staffy up well and train it correctly you shouldnt have a problem.

It is a strange thing that the media has fixated on the Staffie in such a negative way :/
I will bring my her up in the best way i can and hope she will be a great example of the staffies soft nature that led me to purchase her.
I will have to have a naming session for her tonight with DH it feels wrong calling pup "her"

Hi any suggestions for names we have a jake and a Jaja (the rabbit) so i was thinking maybe another J or is that too cheesy? She will be the only other female in the house, i just cant think lol

hello and welcome from me the wife and marley. there's loads of names you could have, maybe worth having a good look at the pup first and see if a name you like fits, there's no rush as most dogs answer to anything to start with, and some i had answered to any throughout they're lives aslong as they got food for it
