Getting another staffy
I have a bitch staffy already and she is about 16 weeks old and a year and a half jack Russell. A friend of mine has 4 staffy’s and 3 of them are picking on the 8-month-old staffy bitch and he has asked if I would take it of his hands before it gets hurt. Will this dog be alright with mine or am I putting my dog in danger can anyone help as I would like to help out this dog but not if its going to start to hurt mine.
Thank you to any one that replys

Re: Getting another staffy
if you well train them they should get on but you are taking abit of a risk becasue if they end up fighting you going have to rehome one or the other. i would never 2 dog the same sex home aloe togetherso you would need to cage them before you go out.
Re: Getting another staffy
It could work out fine but would likely require alot of training and exercise. I also would not leave them home alone and would advise to seperate them if you are going out.

I have 3 SBTs together
If you control the situation carefully and train all the dogs correctly and neuter them (staffy bitches are known for having bad fights) you should have a loving pack situation.
Also allow them to set up their pack pecking order, you will find the eldest bitch will be incharge of all of them, but you must set off on the correct foot instigating the fact YOU are in charge.
If you need help Im here

Re: Getting another staffy
You should also introduce them to each other on neutral ground first - preferably several times - to make sure that they will get on together. Then introduce them at your home on lead so that you have full control over the situation.
I would never leave two staffs alone together even if they get on like a house on fire. I've seen it go horribly wrong, ending up with two comatose staffs & a huge vets bill.
