what a hike back from the beach!
hia all,oh and i just got back from the beach with sash,we met up with friends of ours who have roxy a 8 month old staff and was looking foreword to a nice long walk, sasha got on really well with roxy last time we all went out but this time she kept grumbling at her and kept her distance from her ,all of a sudden sasha started really crying with her paw up in the air,she could'nt put any weight on it at all with out crying, well oh scooped her up and started the hike back to the car(up hill i hasten to add)!half way up it was my turn,i have not weighed her for ages but am sure she must have put a few pounds on over xmas, walking up hill with a injured dog, thought i was goona have a heart attack!got home and gently inspected the wounded paw, could'nt see any thing in it so may be just sprained it,any ideas if there's any thing i can do,have got some arnica which is good for that sort of thing?she is now in her bed by the fire looking very cosy, things we do for our doggies

Re: what a hike back from the beach!
She may have stepped wrong on a pebble or something. Hope she feels better soon.

I would keep exersize down to a minimum for now if she is still limping and if it carries on for a duration then pop to the vets.
Hopefully all and nothing and she will be fine when she wakes

hope she is okay! poor girl..
... we once had to carry Jethro through the bush when he was younger as it turned out to be hotter than we thought when we started our bush walk and Jethro kept lying down under every tree and bush....he weighed a ton! So I know what it is like!!

Ha I remember having to carry Kita last summer up a hill back home after she decided she'd had enough.
She only weighed 13 or so kg, but that is still more than I want to be carrying for any length of time

Hope she gets better soon. I'd just keep the exercise down to a minimum and go to the vets if it doesn't heal in a couple of days or starts to swell
