i'm just wondering if your dog as became a moaning minnie?
my xena has became a right pain in the back side you could have stroked and rubbed her for like an hour and after it has hurt your hand and arm she wil sit by your side and just moan and moan and moan it's driving me nuts at the moment.

Bandit was like that - you'd fuss him for 10 minutes, till your hand ached & then when you stopped, he'd sit there squeeking & nudging your hand all the time!

Re: members with old dogs
ah maybe shes feeling a lit bit insecure and is looking to you for attention cause you're the top dog and her master, my old Tyson used to act the same way in his latter years, it can be a little annoying at times

My old one is 15 now and is finding it harder to walk now she would follow her everywhere to get attention and if my mum sits down she would be straight up beside her or lying on top of her!

Caryll!! So true (sorry guys!)
Yes I think they do get more whingey the older they get, if Taz wakes up and he can't see me he will sit there and whinge rather than get up to come and find me, until I say something so he knows where I am, then he will shut up. Sometimes though he looks just like a grumpy old man and his face looks like he's saying 'bloody kids, just b***er off and leave me alone', especailly when Dizzy is tryig to get him to play.

Yeah he gets lots of cuddles and re-assurance all the time. I think he is finally realising that we are not going to send him back to the Dogs Trust like everyone else always has.

Re: members with old dogs
My Nitro was in constant pain but he never moaned, but he loved to spend more time giving me cuddles, it's how i knew it was time to say good bye to him. Have u asked the Vet about the moaning? Could be a medical problem.
Mia cries a lot of the time and that drives me nuts and then i give her attention and Mr Jealous(Harley) decides i can only give him attention.
