STAFFY GROWTH
Hi Guys,
Well my young boy Diesel is now 10 1/2 months old and built like a brick * house. He is already 21 kilos and about 15" tall, he came with papers and looks 100% english staffy, i was just wondering how much more he will grow and how tall he will get, im not too worried whether he grows anymore or trying to have the most muscliest dog out there i was want to know out of curiosity
Thanks

Re: STAFFY GROWTH
Is that to the top of the head or shoulders. 18 seems really really tall.

Re: STAFFY GROWTH
they normally stop growing tall at about 1 year, then grow outwards till about 3 years

Re: STAFFY GROWTH
i dont have anything to add sorry i dont know, but if they grow outwards till 3 this explains why all of a sudden its seems River's head and shoulders have gone ..."dooooff" * accompanied with outward hand movement*

I'd say your staffs done his height at 10 & half months and they can go up to 18" in height but refering body and muscle expect alot more yet because until they reach the age of 4-5yrs old the body frame and muscle keeps expanding...when bruno was 4yrs old he expanded out twice in one year and last year it happened once and nothing since and he's weighing in at 25kg.
We got bruno on a strict diet and no way does he budge...so it looks like your boys going to be a good size

That is a BIG pup!! do you have any pics at this age/weight ? (and yes, at 10.5mths he has a fair bit of growing to do yet!)
Max is around 18-19 inches to the shoulder when stood bolt upright, havent weighed him for a bit but will be about 22kg ish at the mo I reakon ... he's full KC registered (and very good pedigree) but is far from the standard.
Lets see him

Re: STAFFY GROWTH
My dog is 14'' and 23kg tall i wouldn't worry.
Yes hes out of standard (the current kc standard is 14-16) but the standard used to be slightly taller going up to 18". You often get dogs that are throwbacks to the older standard and are taller. At 10 and a half months old he most likely won't grow anymore but may put on more weight.
I have noticed with blue dogs though that they mature a lot earlier then other colours and look very adult at six-eight months.
