jumping on the sofa
Hello,
I just have question about that. I don't let to my staffie to sleep in a bed however as my bed is sofa-bed so in daytime I allow him to come sometimes but when he wants to sleep I bring him to his bed. So I want to ask is that allright will he get the message that he cannot sleep but can be with me on a day time or he will be confused? what is better? Thanks for any info

Re: jumping on the sofa
you want to stick to not allowing him up becasue if you telling him off one and the next you allowing him you will have a confused dog.
Re: jumping on the sofa
I agree. It will be very confusing for him to be allowed up some times but not others.

Do you think he could learn a signal like when you turn the lights out it means bed time? There very clever things, Moo knows when I turn the TV off (if I haven't fallen asleep on the sofa) to go to bed (be it mine).
Just a thought

Re: jumping on the sofa
well he doesn't spend much time on sofa anyway just when he wants hugs or be with me he jumps on sofa when I am on it or when I leave him alone for few mins, anyway even before getting pup I said that I will not allow pup in a bed. Just thought that few times with me maybe won't be a problem but it is better do not allow that. By the way on the night time he doesnt jump at all he is very clever. Thanks

Ty is the same. In fact he waits for in his bed for the invite onto mine which is turning the lamp off.
