Have you ever done voluntary work for a non-profit organization or charitable cause?

I was thinking of putting my name down to do home checking in te local area for the Dogs Trust but as of 2 weeks time i will be working 2 jobs so won't have time Sad However, although it doesn't really count as voluntary work I am doing a Christmas collection for the Dogs Trust, I am collecting old duvets/blankets/ pillows and dog food and treats & toys and I'm going to take it over to them next month for all the poor doggies who won't be in a home this Christmas.

Thats great Dizzy, i hate the thought of them without a family. Are there collections in a wider area?

I'm not sure Janey, it's just something I decided to do for them to try and help them out in preparation for all the 'New Years residents' they are bound to get (unwanted xmas puppies and older dogs who have been replaced by xmas puppies). I just wanted to say thank you to them for helping us find our lovely boy Taz Big Grin

Nice one.
Yeah things like that are really mentally draining as well. But when you start the course from the beginning you will be fine.
My mum did voluntay work for St John's about 40 years ago....she used to love it......she use to cover Evertons home games. Do they still do the football games?

Many years ago I taught English as a Second Language, as a volunteer. Then I became qualified and did that as a living for 15 years.

A few years ago I was a founder member of Victims of Torture North East. I used to volunteer my time on Saturdays.
