Re: feeding
Just be aware that any dog will only be as big as his/her genes say he/she will be. Good food will help to realise that potential, but won't make him bigger than nature intends!

Thank you for the link. I've been looking for good dry foods recently.

Re: feeding
I would just give him proper nutrition and he will be as well put together as possible. If you like the muscle tone look, you want to keep him lean and well exercised but not underfed. High quality, high protein is important. If you want just big, then I really don't know what to do other than feed them high quality food and see how things go. I personally wouldn't want to make him fat (I doubt that is what you meant though). Mine get walked, run and play. I also am careful about feeding and watching them closely. Doubt Frosty will get that big though which is fine with me. I like his personality. Monte is as big as I personally like.

Any dog will only be as big as there build, some built larger and others smaller. You can't really technically make them bigger, there frame indicates that. You can tone and build muscle but again its still the dogs genes that will dictate how they end up.
Have you considered feeeding raw? Xx

Re: feeding
Hi Andrew, I feed raw. Excessive excercise too young can hurt them so it depends on age. My older boy will run, jog play tug and do spring pole. Raw is the easiest way to give maximum protein and minimum fillers.

I feed raw so I'm not in a position to advise on the dry food other than to choose one with as low a grain content as possible and to get the best you can afford. I don't like tinned food (I take it that's what you mean by wet) at all, it's virtually all water (which means you have to feed more) and is not good for their teeth.
Exercise at 9 weeks old will consist of play, play & more play! Too much exercise too soon will weaken their growth plates & tendons.
