Brilliant that you've got an old fashioned butcher, all of ours have closed down due to supermarkets taking over. If I want bones for ours I have to go to a proper market, and there are only a few of them left !

Re: BLESS MY BUTCHER
We have a couple of butchers round here, but they're not the 'real' thing. They buy in the meat already cut & packed & just sell it. They don't have bones, so I have to rely on Morrissons as they're the only supermarket with a qualified butcher. He does save me bones & leaves a little meat on them, but not as much as I'd like.

Re: BLESS MY BUTCHER
I got Taz and Cassie a Gimborn Knuckle each Cassie loved her's but Taz wouldn't eat his he'd have a nibble and he'd look so scared then he'd go and hide by the time i snapped it out of it i had to get rid of both bones because there was meat on them and it was going off.

We dont have a local butchers here either, which is maddness but as said earlier, the supermarkets have taken over. I rely on a market stool that comes once a week. Bought a bag of pig trotters the other week, supposed to last for a while, well 10 mins and it was gone!

Re: BLESS MY BUTCHER
Trouble with pigs trotters is there's so much fat on them it gives Dempsey a bad stomach, so i can only give him one every month or so.
