I smell a rat (maybe a mouse)
I usually keep Ty out of the bedroom and ensuite as he is a little bugger and will get into shoes and whatever he can find in there. Besides, the cats like to have a haven of their own.
Last evening, when I let him through for bedtime he went nuts. Sniffing like a lunatic everywhere, straight into the bathroom in and out of the shower cubicle, jumping in the bath and eventually diving into the wicker basket filled with fresh towels. Being human, I have no clue what has got into him, so I start gingerly pulling out the rolled up towels one by one. I pull up one, lo and behold there is a tail sticking out the bottom.
Best get this outside to the big bin since I am sure by now it is dead. Open the towel up over the bin and a tiny mouse pops out, drops to the ground and runs like hell. Ty is behind the small fence going nuts to no avail.
It seems the my cats had had the poor little thing cornered and given up on finding it. They tend to bring their catches in as it is so much more fun cornering them in confined spaces. Beside they need to present their catch to their humans.
I cannot believe that Tyson's nose was so good. He sure as hell acts stupid when I do the hiding of treats and seek game.

Amazing how good their noses are. Maybe the cats are bringing in the mice to hide them in amongst your towels for Ty to find. Very cunning those cats you know.
