Well Vinnie had his booster's this morning bless him lol .. he has hated the vets since his castration lol (cant imagine why) Laughing .. He was booked in for 10:20 got there about 15mins early and he got seen practically straight away Smile so he didn't have to feel sorry for himself for too long LOL.
As soon as i shut the door behind me after entering the vets he started! lol .. Crouched down so low he was basically doing the worm to the reception lol trying to go and hide in the corners of the room his alot worse since his last visit lol he still remembers what his naughty vet did to him lol!.
I had too literally pick him up out of the corner of the room and put him on the scales to be weighed lol .. the nurse had to hold him still and then let go and manage to read the scales before he moved again lol he was just over 16kilos (is it kilos the vets do it in? 16 something anyway)haha.
He then crawled into the vets room where it was vaccine time, the whole time when i put him on the table he was glued to my chest with his paw on my arm as if too say "please mom, dont leave me here like last time" bless him i felt really sorry for him!.
Vet check went great, Healthy heart, healthy gums/teeth, healthy ears and healthy skin Big Grin .. the vet wasnt his usual vet and did say too me, have you checked his body he is very scooched, to which i replied "he has been since we entered, his not your kinds biggest fan" LOL! you would of guessed he'd realise it was because he was scared doh lol.
Anyway his vaccine went well he was well behaved for it and as soon as he left the room he went and sat with my mom while i paid for it and ordered him and skye 2 new id tags .. running around like he'd forgotten all about it lol, lapping up fuss from the nurse/receptionist lol.

What was cute was my mom kept saying too him "Vinnie, wheres skye??" and he literally would pick his ears up and look around for her! was so cute Love Struck .. Glad his doggy MOT went well! i do hope next time tho i have his and skye's usual vet! wasnt too keen on the one i had today he didnt seem very clued up.

Poor fella, he probably thought he was going to leave minus something else!

Don't forget that you probably only need to vaccinate every three years now.

glad all went well. our last dog didnt like the vet and he would hide in the corner (it always seems to be like that with dogs after being spayed) one day we took him and it wasnt the usual vet and this one asked where we had rescued him from and how long we had had him. to which i felt shamed having to say we got him at 5 and half weeks old he is just worried cos he has no more bits for you to chop off Laughing

It's a little complicated cause it'll depend on which area you're in, but basically all the core vaccines now last for a minimum of three years. So as long as your dog has had his puppy course & the 1st year's booster, then you can leave it for 3 years. However, your vet might advise annual boosters of a particular vaccine if the disease it covers is particularly prevelent in your area.

These are the current guidelines...

Missed this one. Glad all went well in the end. I am sure he must be 16kg. When Tyson was weighed this week he was 22kg which may be a tad over what he should be. No more bedtime biccies.
