Ever get days where you should have stayed in bed.....
.....I am having one today!!!
Harrison goes to a flying start nursery every morning which is linked with Hollie's school. Hollie also goes mornings as she is only in the nursery class. Anyway we get letters for each child and things get a bit confusing sometimes. Had letters before they broke for christmas with the return dates, Hollie goes back today and Harrison goes back tuesday or so I thought
Decided to walk the dog up to the school to drop Hollie off with Harrison in the buggy so we could use the couple of hours she was there to go for a long walk before the weather turns bad again. Everything went well this morning, all out the house on time, Hollie looking smart in her unifrom etc.
Get up to the school to find Hollie's is shut, no sign of life and instead a queue of parents and children outside Harrison's school. I had somehow managed to mix the dates up Harrison was supposed to start back today and Hollie tuesday.
So I pack a very shocked Harrison off to school, explain to the staff the reason why he is so shocked, much to their amusment Then walk an empty buggy back home with a disappointed Hollie who is moaning about having to go for a walk instead of playing with her friends in school.
We have a nice walk down into town, through castle square where Tinkerbell and Hollie stand for ages admiring the fountain. So I decide to take a picture of them together, got two pictures then drop my phone. Luckily instead of falling into the fountain it bounced on the wall and onto the floor Walk through town and home and decide to walk back across the banks so madam can have a run on the long line. Almost up the banks when I get a phonecall from Harrison's school, (good job my phone wasn't swimming in the fountain), the heating has packed up and all the children are to be sent home
So it's a dash across the banks with a tired Hollie, who by this stage is moaning she's cold and wants to go home. Get to the school with a dirty Tinkerbell. Get to the door and one of the staff pass me the clipboard to sign Harrison out, and Tinkerbell decides to jump on her, luckily I pulled her down before she plastered the lady in mud
Tinkerbell then pulls her halti off just as Harrison comes out, so I have to grab Harrison who is off out the gate and attempt to walk an excited dog out before getting out the way to put it back on and hold Harrison's hand.
What a morning, still we are home now. Just had tea and toast and have received a phonecall to say the nursery will be shut utnil monday so we have the weekend to recover and I think I am going to need it Oh and another bonus is she is now snoring away in her crate, so we have peace for 5 minutes!

Well it does kind of get better....we have just been to Taybarn's for dinner once Ian awoke from his beauty sleep. So enjoyed the last hour or so, now home to do the housework, which as you can tell I am getting straight stuck into

Re: Ever get days where you should have stayed in bed.....
Sounds like a very hectic morning you had karen
I used have those sorta days sometimes in Highschool....I'd turn up and school would be empty. One time a teacher saw me walking towards the school and started laughing at me

Beautifully described. I can imagine the whole thing. One thing... you never have time to get bored. Time for a cuppa, a pill and a lie down!

Oh I certainly did...and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's amazing what tea and toast can do!
Thanks, only a registration appointment at a new doctors, so think I am just seeing a nurse to be weighed, height etc. Hoping to be out of there quite quickly, last time I was there Harrison got referred to hospital so has to be a better appointment than that surely!
