back to school
well thats Lemmy booked in for agility atarting 20th january and just waiting for a call from Lottie's trainer to see if she can have another assessment to see which class she can go into. she needs to pass stage 3 which is more of an improvers course of obedience training before she can go to agility but she cant attend any hting unless she passes her next assessment. fingers crossed. she has come along way and i think she would be able to go into a class with others no problem cos she is like all other dogs "show her a treat and she doesnt care what else is going on"

Re: back to school
Sounds positive Julie. I think Lemmy will be a star. Tyson will also be starting agility this month when classes Mind you we have spent 4 months in that class.

Good luck Lemmy
I'd hoped my Dizzy would shine at agility as he loves to jump trees and go thru tunnels no problem at all. I started agility classes and he was doing so well until week 5 when he decided to chase a Spaniel, but not in a friendly way!
He was given another chance but the next week he went for the same dog in the first 5 mins of class so unfortunately we were "expelled"
I was gutted I must admit as I'd hoped to go far with agility and thought it would be great stimulation for Dizzy, but unfortunately they wouldn't tolerate his behaviour in the class as it freaked the Spaniel, it's owner and half the other dog owners out!
I know my dog however and it didn't massively surprise me that it happened. I just hoped that it would be a good focus for him, but unfortnately it wasn't to be for us (sob sob).
I may try him again at another club in a year or so.
Wishing you and Lemmy all the best as it sounds like Lemmy is a much better behaved student than my Dizzy lol !!

Re: back to school
aw bet you were gutted. we think the same that the classes will help to fucus him. he liked it when we did it for play so hopefully he like it for reall. he loves flyball but it gets boring after a while theres only so many times he can run for a ball.
Lottie will be a star i think and ace her assessment if she doesnt bark at the trainer

Re: back to school
Yes I was really gutted as I'd been on the waiting list for ages and looked forward to being able to have lots of fun with Dizzy doing agility. But I think the over excitement of it and all the other dogs was just a little too much for him sadly
You'll have to keep us informed of how Lenny is doing
