crying Empty crying

Post by Pheley Mon Jan 02 2012, 20:45

most nights clio just sits in her chair and constanly cries and whines ill take her for walk round the block and shes fine for while then off she goes again, is it attention seeking or could it be something more worrying, shes eating and drinking fine doesnt seem to be in pain, personly i think its the attention thing but any other ideas would be great because it is starting to pull at my last remaining one at wits end

i'd say attention. lemmy gets whiny at night because he cant settle untill Lottie goes to bed then he will go with her and go to sleep but Lottie is a night owl and likes to stay in the room late with us.

Have you just tried ignoring it?

If you go to her everytime then they associate the crying with attention, hence cry! Xx

i had the same problem with beau, its hard but you will have to block the crying out and blank the dog, lemmy will soon know that she gets no attention if she cries,
it took beau 2 weeks to get the hang of it

she'll ge message eventualy and go sulk quietly somewhere. is her bed in the same room as you. sometimes they dont like to settle in their bed if we are all still up cos its lonely but if she has abed in the same room as you then she might settle in it

Agree it's attention seeking and if you react with cuddles it will encourage her to do it more
