Where are you traveling from? I think all countries are very different.
Best bet is to speak to your vets Xx

Re: holiday trip with my pup
your vet would know where to look for travel arrangements and things you need to know. but i do know that you will need a passport for the dog and that he cannot travel within 6 months of getting it because of all the immunisations and things it would need. they will need rabies etc and then a blood test in a few months to check if the immunisation is working. before being allowed back into britain the dog has to be taken to a vet for a wormer at least 24 hours before traveling back and that the vet has to sign to say it has been given. its alot of messing about and alot of expense.

All changed in January for EU countries , only 3 weeks and Rabies Injection now Julie + pet passport from Defra Vet. Wanted to take Tilly to France maybe next year but looks like it won't be possible as one of her parents wasn't KC registered so we can't prove she isn't a staffy x and it would seem they aren't welcome ( Don't like the French anyway

Ledger doesn't look like he's got any x in him from your Avatar pic but don't completely discount it as this is only what I've found out so far. Other people have said if the papers say if you have say a boxer / staffy x then get them to write as Boxer X and then this should be ok. I am only assuming that the defra vet will ask for KC papers to confirm pedigree, and that possibly these papers may have to be carried also, not looked into it fully yet. Seems the worst case scenario if they don't like the look of the dog they ask you to leave the country early , they will not take the dog off you . We just had it as a thought as we aren't keen on th idea of Tilly going into kennels for us to get a couple of weeks sun so this was possibly an option. But think this year she will have to go in for the summer hols anyway so we will see from there.
