Urgent foster or permanent home needed for Rocky
This lovely two year old boy came in as an urgent case on Christmas Eve. He was in short term foster but has now in kennels and looking for a home to call his own. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Rocky loves travelling in the car, he is housetrained and enjoys playing with his toys. He has good recall and loves to snuggle up. He gets on well with other dogs and has been well socialised as a puppy. He also used to do agility.
Don't be put off by his "chubbiness" - he hasnt been getting the exercise he needs so with regular walks and plays he will soon lose this.
We would prefer an experienced home with no children or older children as Rocky can get over excited when playing and could accidentally knock a child over. Also we would prefer him to be the only dog in the household or a house with a calm female as he gets very boisterous during play. He would be fine with visiting dogs.

I know - we had the pleasure of having him in short term foster with us for 5 days. What a lovely boy he is.
Unfortunately we already have three dogs ourselves so couldn't foster long term. Really dont want him in kennels too long as he wont cope well.
He is a fast learner too. He totally understood fetch the ball, drop, wait within 2 days.

I've been going up the kennels to walk the gorgeous Rocky. He had never seen sheep before and I took a short video of it.
Great example of behaviour we would want to see - dogs have a choice when on lead seeing something scary, fight, flight or freeze. Heres Rocky freezing when he sees the scary sheep, followed by a quick look at me for reassurance and lip licking showing he is a bit anxious about it. He walks past keeping a close look with more lip licking and once he is passed them he has a quick look back to make sure the "scary" sheep arent following and then does a perfect "shake off" after a stressful event.
Such a brilliant boy, desperately needs out of kennels asap.

He is almost identical to Sasha, I showed the first photo to my wife and she said - "whos house was Sasha in ? "
He sounds very similar in temperament and behavior to Sasha, its a pity Im in Ireland, they would be great together.

Heres Rocky sitting in my car today. He's debating whether the back seat would be more comfy.
He's totally happy for me to hold his chew. Lovely boy.

This gorgeous boy has now been in his new home a couple of weeks and has settled well. He has a lovely new playmate called Tia and the family are delighted with him.
