Going to go to the butchers tomorrow and was wondering if all you raw feeders could list a few things I could ask for! He is currently getting chicken wings, but want to stock up on other stuff aswell! Thanks all.

You could ask for some lamb spine or neck. Maybe some pork ribs. Does the butcher do tripe (green tripe, not the white stuff, because it's been bleached for human consumption)?

I'll ask for the lamb spine/neck and ribs, I'll find out about the tripe! I'm sure one should do it? There's 4 butchers within 15 minute drive, then there is another 4 or so in the supermarkets!

The supermarkets won't do tripe (not green tripe, anyway) and only Morrisons has their own butcher.

You need a 'proper' butcher - one that cuts his own joints from the whole carcass rather than buying in the ready cut joints.

Well I'll try the butchers about here and should hopefully get the lamb and pork at least!

If you're inetersted in getting tripe, try the online sites - they'll send frozen tripe, although they do have minimum orders.

I don't use on line cause the amounts are too large for me to fit in my freezer, but try these....

Hope nobody minds, but I've put the post with the puppy menu as a new topic - it could be very useful!

Yes raw food is always my preference. It works out cheaper than most commercial foods and the greyhounds do really well on it.
