Re: new puppy, what to feed,
If you are going to feed complete make sure you get the grain free kind, and you can also look into raw feeding which i would say is best...

Re: new puppy, what to feed,
I would change from the pedegree, not the greatest. I don't feed raw (doesn't suit us) but I have been through a few other dry foods. Moo is now on Fish4Dogs annd she loves it, although not sure if its suitable for a pup.
Good luck with whatever you decide and welcome to the forum

I feed raw, but it doesn't suit everyone! and yes the chicken is uncooked and you let them eat the bones as well heres a good site to help you:

Re: new puppy, what to feed,
Violet started off exactly as your wee pup, with Pedigree and a quarter tin of wet food. Now she is on a locally produced dry food, that is organic and additive free, and we're not sure if it is food related, or just getting older, but her behaviour really improved. We do still give her a wee scoop of wet food mixed in, or some gravy or egg, just to make it more appealing to her If it was up to Violet though, all she would ever eat would be Shreddies and prawn crackers

Re: new puppy, what to feed,
You'll find some good videos about choosing dog food here: http://wrigglebutts.com/2011/11/21/the-pet-food-jungle/ (these are American and so recommend American made products, that will of course depend on where you live)
