Atlas and Jocey playing all weekend together.
So my friend brought over his puppy. A 9 month old Malamute to play with my 2 year old Pit. They had a blast. It was very interesting. My Pit weighs 75 pounds and his puppy weighed 34 pounds, but because she was so fluffy they looked about the same size. the puppy would get a tad aggressive at times and my Pit would give her a correction to let her know. Then they would make up and start playing again.
I was actually able to capture one of these moments on film and wanted to share. Sorry about the bad lighting. My GoPro doesn't perform well without sunlight, hehe. but I did upload it in high def so if you open in full screen it's much easier on the eyes.
It was the cutest thing, it was like my Pit was actually training his puppy! Anyways check it out tell me what you think. I was very impressed with how my doggie handled an unruly puppy and showed her how to play right. He didn't even get mad when she tried to mount him. I think she just bit him on the throat too hard which made him mad. They seem to have their own language though of what's acceptable and what's not.

Thanks! I'm sure you have seen them before, they are the dogs people use to pull dog sleds across the snow in Alaska. She is just a baby though and hasn't grown into her skin yet. So not very recognizable yet, hehe.

Haha I think you might be right. Ok let me look it up, now I'm curious...............
Ahhh yes you are!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Husky
Husky is a general name for a type of dog originally used to pull sleds in northern regions, differentiated from other sled dog types by their fast hard pulling style.[1] The Alaskan Malamute was used for heavier loads and is generally slower in long-distance dogsled racing against smaller and faster Husky type dogs. Huskies are still used in sled racing, and in recent years companies have been marketing tourist treks with dog sleds for adventure travelers in snow regions as well.[2] Huskies are also today kept as pets, and groups work to find new pet homes for retired racing and adventure trekking dogs.[3]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaskan_Malamute
The Alaskan Malamute is a generally large breed of domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris) originally bred for use as a utilitarian dog and later an Alaskan sled dog. They are sometimes mistaken for a Siberian Husky, but in fact are quite different in many ways. As pets, once mature, Malamutes have a very quiet, dignified temperament and are loyal to their owners.
