Aww not too far away but far enough! I know the feeling, I always walk on my own too! Would love someone to walk with, but have to go at 6 in the morning now, not good! Do you have any walking groups near you?

No walking groups :-\ we live in quite a built up area, plenty of dogs but no nice sbt the only ppl who own them are chavvys, and prob smack heads :-(
Re: Portsmouth, gosport, fareham area?
i hate walking the dogs on my own it's sooo boring i just have to take my ipod
Re: Portsmouth, gosport, fareham area?
Know what you mean. I take Dempsey's boomer ball with me every walk now. It's a bit more interesting watching the fool bowling the ball along & nearly running into trees than just trudging through the grass on my own!

yea im the same as u caryll we have started taking something for the boys with us its soooo funny watching them run around like goons. We have also found that as Ty is soooo toys motivated and so not food motivated its great if another dog appears from nowhere etc as he couldnt care less if we have a toy and ignores the other dog where as if we didnt have one it would be a different matter x

Wish rubs was like that she sees kids or dogs n shes off like a shot but im off to pets at home tonight gonna see if i can get a long training lead! We've got an extendable leed and a leather one but when shes off and she reaches the end of it she pings back! And she has a leather collar and a half choke but neither work :-\
Re: Portsmouth, gosport, fareham area?
i love them long lead it give dogs that bit of freedom that they wouldn't have on a short lead
Re: Portsmouth, gosport, fareham area?
yea i was working for ages with ty on his recall training with a massive training lead but to be honest after 6 months he wasnt anybetter when he saw a dog he was still off like a shot it wasnt untill recently we realised just how toy motivated he was and hes like a different dog now lol
