Hello Everyone, New owner soon to be @ Portsmouth
As the thread title says really..
Picking 'Tia' up on Saturday who's a 13week girl..
I'm new to the breed but have done my homework, in the process of choosing from a multiple of food choices..I will obviously carry on with what I'm told on Saturday for the time being then slowly introduce other foods of my choice from the vast array of knowledge (uh hum) :)from here and other sites..

Re: Hello Everyone, New owner soon to be @ Portsmouth
thanks for the replies..
Well atm my train of thought is heading towards raw chicken in the morning which is what she is eating now anyway (1chicken wing) then possibly some good dry food (haven't decided on brand as still researching) mixed up with either vegetables, fruit or fish.
Im still trying to see if there are any disadvantages with this setup..I honestly dont see a problem with this breed having raw meats as long as they are the correct ones with the odd sprinkle of veg and the usual vinegar in the water (obviously not the normal stuff), but I have a cat which I'm hoping wont be an issue, however something seems very wrong with feeding her a completely raw diet with my cat roaming around the house!.
I'm hoping my choices are Okay, they seem to be a good mix of what most owners are doing.

Hi and welcome from me and Daisy, what a little cutie Tia is
I'd probably choose either raw or dry rather than mixing the two, although I don't think it would upset her stomach with one meal of each, its just when you feed the two together that it can.

Re: Hello Everyone, New owner soon to be @ Portsmouth
Hi everyone, thanks for the replies..
Well we are on our second day together and I'm really impressed with her staying in her crate with the door open through the night, no noise and leaving the crate to goto toilet, she's in a big kitchen with the door shut, a nice safe area for her to roam around in..
I'm not wether to do that again tonight or to shut the crate door but if she's already leaving that area to go then I don't see the benefits? Or am I missing something?
ive ditched the morrisons own dog food that she was being fed on and have gone for the Alden grange stuff twice a day with some raw stuff in between as that is where I want to end up, natures.
She is not using the pads but still trying to get her to go in them as opposed to around them, but today she went to no2 in the back yard, it's about 20x10 flat roof as I live in a flat but it's better than nothing..
so I'm getting there:
