Happy dog
We moved house nearly 2 weeks ago and Buster loves the new place. I can tell because he has suddenly become completely lazy. There are lots of doggie benefits with the new place, I'm so pleased!
I think that one good sign of a happy dog is laziness. He loves being in his new room because he quite often takes himself off to go there, and he loves the new rug on the living room floor I think it reminds him of his mother, and he loves my new work pattern which lets me stay home more than I used too, and it's great for me to be nearer the woods than we used to be. Ain't life good.

Re: Happy dog
He won't be quite so happy next week though, as we are having our annual Caribbean cruise.

Re: Happy dog
Buster goes to a local kennels that was recommended to me in a chance meeting with an ex-kennel maid who had worked in many of the kennels in the area. I did not mention kennels when I spoke to her, but she volunteered the information that a particular one in the area was the best, even though she no longer worked there, so that's where Buster goes when we are on hol.
I also like the way they all know who Buster is when I ring up to book him in. Is this because Buster is a particularly ameniable dog? or that I am a particularly fussy owner that they have to watch out for? (both of those things true) or that they are just a good kennel? Either way - I'm happy with them, if anyone in Northumberland wants a recommendation I'll happily give it for this kennel.

Re: Happy dog
It is weird though, most of those terrieres here seem to be either family pets or show dogs. There do not seem to be many working Bedlington Terriers in Bedlington!

Re: Happy dog
It's strange isn't it. I've read on the internet that they are very highly regarded dogs, yet in Bedlington people seem to act as if they are irritated by them.
