Well that made me smile and I need some serious cheering up today. I got to bed a bit early every night so I can have a read usually of Terry Pratchett, I have been known to read out loud sometimes.

Re: Kent launch for Staffordshire Bull Terrier campaign
That is great.
The misunderstanding and superstition is really deep in people.
I had been the same before I got Stella - I am really so sorry for it now - I had never met a staffy before but just based on pictures and news I had thought they are weird dogs for weirdos.... Now I know how wrong I was
Couple of examples:
1. I met a lady, she was jogging when I walked Stella, she started calling at me to have her on short lead because when "one sees a dog like this gets scared, naturally". Stella was some 5 months then...
2. I met people with dogs and when the dogs came to sniff Stella on lead she dropped on her back, she always does this, and the owner said "Oh, you are supposed to be tough and you are such a sissy instead".
Don't know whether anybody has seen a trailer of a progra in the telly. Waterloo Road - it's something about gangs, crime, troubled teenagers and stuff. There is a staffy there, pulling on lead, showed as a unfriendly bad dog, probably a gang member's dog....

So rescue centres and other do their best but then BBC comes with their program and they continue with the stereotype.
It is so sad
I'm trying to do my best, have Stella on lead (only because she is too friendly...) with her pink harness to show that she is just a wee sweet friendly pet. If it helped to change opinion of at least one person I'd be happy
Xx
