Got an Interview

Heya .. i have finally got a job interview on friday for pets at home .. bit nervous to be honest as i havnt had one for a fair few years lol and that was a one to one interview this is a group one lol .. Im just gonna try my best to make a good impression, hope that the qualifications in retail and the qualifications in animal care help on my part! lol.

Maybe you should take Vinnie & Skye with you? They'd have to give you the job then!

I had a group interview a couple of weeks ago - it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, it takes the pressure of a bit as you're not as 'in the spotlight' as you would be if you were at a one-to-one interview

Massive good luck to you hun! You'll be fine, and there'd be a fool not to notice. What more could they ask for for a pet store

@linzy what sort of stuff did they get you to do? .. i had to phone to confirm today and the manager is a friend of my moms she dont know its me yet lol .. but she said that its a fun kind of interview lol.

Can you think of some questions to ask them? I always ask - Why is the job available? Some others for you to consider may be :

What code of ethics do you follow?

Do you offer recognised training in animal behaviour, nutrition (there are proposed standards for these things)?

just had an email .. i made it to the 2nd stage .. i have to go in next week and do an hour of shadowing staff and then a one to one interview and see if im good enough for the job .

wednesday 7th =) .. if i remember rightly from what they said at the group assessment its shadowing on the animal section, then the tills, then the stock off loading from the lorry i think it was lol.

My christmas do that night, be yours next year Good luck Xx

Be sure to remember the manual handling procedures for the stock off loading. Bend you knees not your back, you never know what they will be watching you for. Be yourself they would be mugs not to take you on.
