too much protein?
I am currently feeding my pup on a complete puppy dried food from my local pet shop. Although it has no artificial additives or colourings, it has 30% protein in it. Is this too much protein with the tripe he has in the morning as well. He also has a garlic and fenugreek tablet in the morning and a fish oil capsule at evening meal.Any advice thanks

Re: too much protein?
No, the tripe will add very little protein to your pup's diet. Puppies need more protein than adults anyway!

A little extra protien won't hurt a pup at all. They need a bit extra to help them grow.

just watch his weight as too much can be converted into fat if he is not burning it off

Re: too much protein?
Garlic & Fenugreek is traditionally used to relieve arthritis, rheumatism & and mild infections in dogs.
I don't really think a pup needs it, but it won't do any harm.

Re: too much protein?
All I can go on is my dacshaund had one tablet every day from when I had him as an 8 week old pup. Though he was on a homeopathic diet but still he lived to a ripe old age of 17 and only a handful of vet visits mainly bad teeth at the latter stage of his life.
