Hi, I have been taking Vinnie to puppy classes for 2 weeks now, but he is so excited and doesnt stop pulling the whole time we are there. He does do the tasks ok but just seems to want to get at the other puppies.I am just a bit concerned that when its off leads next week what his reaction will be. Anyone else experienced this? worried

Laughing not been there personally, but I imagine a group of pups to be off lead for the first time to be mayhem! I'd just enjoy it and let him learn Big Grin

It's to be expected, he's still terribly young! And don't worry, the trainers will have seen it all before, he won't be the only one to get excited!

i have been there. the whole point of puppy classes is not only to train the dog but to socialise it and play is part of it so when he is off lead next week he may wan to go play and he won't be the only one. the trainers know this and so if you are worried ask thats what your paying them for but i wouldnt worry about it just sit back and enjoy your little doggy starting to socialise and make friends thats what the classes are for

Thanks all, I think she will let Vinnie off with the bigger puppies as he is quite a bully boy, and several of the other pups are very small. My mind is at rest now!! whew!

Exercising him a bit beforehand might help. That way he won't have all the pent up energy. Other than that no worries.

We have been at puppy school for 3 weeks now and Jagger and another Staffy are the most vocal/playful. The other pups are so placid and just stare at them. Wonder what the owners are thinking!
We are also having the leash free night tommorow, so can understand your concern. I'm guessing they will just want to play and jump all over each other which is exactly what they do now anyway so nothing to worry about. Just keep a careful eye out if things get a little out of hand.
It'll be great fun!
