How many dogs have you had in your lifetime?

I put down 7. Five of those were my parents dogs though. I've only had two of my own.

only 1 of my own, but 4 altogether if you include family pets.

9 including Dempsey.

Only Ty and Kaos who are my own but family pets in the past are:

Sarge - beautiful red staff (male)
Murph - staff (male)
Peddy & Lindy - border collies (boy and girl)

6 if you include my family dogs and my foster pup.

When we were kids (I was about 7 or 8 ) my dad took in his buddy's Rottie, Shadow. He was a trained guard dog and attacked my cat a few times, so we only had him for a couple of months.

Then, after my mom remarried and we moved to Connecticut, we got two Chocolate Labs, Ruby and Beulah.

Then when Ruby died my parents got a Yellow Lab puppy, KC.

Then when I moved out, I fostered a Pit Bull named Benny for 3 months. He was such a sweetie and I wish we could have adopted him, but it wasn't in the cards, unfortunately.

And now I have my first personal dog, Saxon the Stafford!

Ive got 3 of my own and we had them when we was growing up i think we have had about 4 has children.My mum wouldnt have one now though she says she too old to be looking after a dog now she is only 65.Im suprised she let us have them has kids she is so house proud not a speck of dust in her house

8 including family pets. Russell is the first dog whose been mine, although he belongs to my OH too so he's still a family pet just a new family!

1 x female border collie mixed with every dog under the sun (Jim) she was my mums dog she rescued and the only dog we've had to die of old age naturally
1 x male cairn terrier (Zak) was hit by a car when I was 3yo
1 x female Golden Retriever (Bella) cancer tumours all over her body, had her put to sleep :'(
1 x male Foxy cross JRT (Elmo) tiger snake bite :'(
1 x male chihuahua cross (Diesel) brown snake bite :'(
1 x female Corgi cross (Bonnie) she is a rescue and is still with us!
1x male chocolate labrador (Charlie) still with us - his brothers and sisters from other litters were all guide/assistance dogs!

I'm almost 30 and have had 6 dogs if I include the family pets growing up.

i will try and dig some photos out at the weekend of the German Shepherd have none of the staffys apart from billy as they were mine when i was little

I put down 4. Sam was my aunties border collie and my grandma from the other side of the fmaily had a border collie called sam, then millie and casey, hopefully lots more in the future!

- Ace our labrador and my first best friend
- Bruce our second lab who was a rescue and a total absolute nightmare. Ended up running away and we eventually found him about a year later only for him to break out of the garage and be away again the next morning leaving us with a broken door. Monster of a dog
- Jet our collie x lab mix, she was the love of my life. Best dog ever.
- Amber & Taurus a ret and lab lovely dogs we rehomed from someone moving away. she called us in tears asking about them for about weeks lol
- sooty and sooty #2 our miniture poodles, sooty one died in a horrible accident and we were so upset we bought sooty two. He was lovely little dog, my nan fell in love with him and looked after him on holidays and he just never came home :/

Rocky is our first dog, I had a GSD/Lab cross when I was growing up.

Loki's the only dog that's just 'mine' (although he's turned into a bit of a family pet ) but five all together. A German Shepherd named Cougar, a mongrel named Wizzer (my parents gave him to my uncle cos he ended up terrifying me ), a Boxer named Cassie, another Boxer named Zac, and now Loki.

1) Boxer when a child -named Boxer (how original)
2) Dobermann named Zeta - died aged 10 from bone cancer.
3) Dobermann named Rio (best dog EVER) - died aged 11 from bone cancer.
4) Staffy named Trigger - died aged 13 weeks from emphysema, such a sweet puppy.
5) Staffy named Kuchar - now just a year old and still a hooligan, although loved to bits.

Only Taz !!! ... won't let me vote though!

Grew up with all sorts, but 3 officially have been mine, Blue a Doberman, Flynn my Kelpie, and Rolo my Staff

Alongside them there have seen countless foster dogs from Westies to Shepherds, and all the dogs on my books that I care for daily, that I always consider mine when they are in my care.

B.J, Rocky2 Nipper, (Black Brindle) Suzie (Pied) and now Ella (Red). All Staffs, all family pets. Dont think i could ever own another breed but ya never know.

9 if including family pet, grew up with 7 rotties altogether, not all at once but from me being born there were always 3 in the house, moved out at 17 and took Tara with me, Tara was pts after a traumatic experience for both of us and I lost my faith in the breed, was probably an over reaction to tar them all with the same brush but at the time I was in a bit of a state, parents and brother still have rotties but when I got my confidence back and decided on another dog I opted for a german shepard, I had zac for 4 years after he was given to me by an elderly lady who was going into a home and didn't want him to go to rescue, unfortunately he developed a tumor and had to be pts, couldn't bring myself to own another shepard as I felt like I was "replacing" Zac, but my experience with him as a whole was nothing but perfect, Stig was found by accident whilst looking for other dogs, and what a find he was, I was sceptical at first and spent few days researching the breed before commiting to buy one and with the advice on this site and a few books I bit the bullet and bought him, he's my first puppy and has been a handfull to say the least, no amount of reading can prepare you for puppyhood, he's often dissobedient and almost always at something he shouldn't be but I wouldn't change him for the world, it's all been fun and educational and I'll never tire of his playfulness. So in total 6 family dogs and 3 of my own so far, oh and the wifes labrador but I have no affiliation with her animal whatsoever

After getting married,One Toy Yorkie,then another Yorkie who had 7 pups,(all found good homes )
Then another rescue Yorkie..when she passed on we had an Anatolian Shepherd (she was gorgeous a gentle giant,she passed on with cancer about 14 months ago,she was only four and a half,she was a rescue from Battersea London).
We now have Poppy a rescued (Staffie)
