Crossgunner Staffords
I have a Crossgunner Stafford "Gunners' Doppelgänger"
And I was wondering if anyone else has pups or dogs from this epic lineage?

Oh really? This is awesome! Are they still active, since they haven't got back to me when I've tried to inquire about Juniors lines.

Ah, Crossguns! Yes, I've heard of them. I would think anyone who has shown a staff will have heard of them!

Re: Crossgunner Staffords
Yeah, they just don't seem to be too friendly when I ask about Juniors lineage. No reply from them whatsoever.

Re: Crossgunner Staffords
As a big kennel they would receive lots of emails and maybe are busy to respond there dogs have been used a lot at stud so they may not have the info if there dogs are way back in the pedigree. All the champs will be available if you google them any other info maybe someone on here could help
They do a lot of judging too now and are abroad quite a bit very busy people

Don't forget that they will not know you as Junior's owners & so maybe they won't reply.

Re: Crossgunner Staffords
Was just assessing a few things with my friend who is knowledgeable about staffies and now, we've realised that because Juniors owners neutered him, whether or not he had Crossguns genetics or lineage now does not matter, he can't be shown professionally.
ARG! What a waste!

Re: Crossgunner Staffords
Ah, no, a neutered dog can't, as a rule, be shown. There are exceptions, but they're rare.
Guest- Guest
Re: Crossgunner Staffords
I very much doubt that he will be made the exception. Argh, unaltered, he would have been worth around £2500 with his talent and lineage and mini record. Now he's probably worth less than £200. Ah well, he's still my baby! I love his little man-less self :3

Re: Crossgunner Staffords
This was a while back now, he was getting " priced" due to his talent or something, but it doesn't matter now =/ Well, as i said, I still love him.

Re: Crossgunner Staffords
?? what his talent just out of interest? If the price goes up the more talented they are my 2 will be worth a fortune! Talents include:-
* destroyers
* cuddlers
* etc etc haha

Re: Crossgunner Staffords
£2500?! Does he poo golden nuggets??
Sorry, never heard of a talent that makes a dog worth that much, regardless of his ped. As you say, the main thing is that he's loved

Re: Crossgunner Staffords
Blaze: He does Weightpull, showing, springpole, beginner obedience (schutzhund style) and his pedigree adds to his "worth"
Shon: what he poos is something not worth talking about XDDD Tis awful stuff.
But nah, i love him either way.

I doubt that he'd have been worth £2500. I'm not doing him down, here, just being realistic! Even a top, proven stud would struggle to fetch that sum!
Guest- Guest
Re: Crossgunner Staffords
Were you planning to sell him if he wasn't unaltered? If not, why does it matter how much he is "worth?"
Guest- Guest
Re: Crossgunner Staffords
No, never! I would never sell him! Money cannot replace a dog, ever. Anyone who thinks money can replace or is better than a dog does not deserve to own one.
No, I may have put him up for stud, but in general, I am just interested, genuinely interested.

I meant if he wasn't neutered =/
I said "I may have"...past tense...not "I may" which is future tense.

yes i know that was shocking just goes to show even the top dogs/bitches are just money makers not loved pets
no doubt you will see nice bitches getting sold on at younger ages now you can only breed and reg 4 litters from a bitch not the 6 it was
Guest- Guest
Re: Crossgunner Staffords
And you cant kc reg if the bitch as had 2 c sections. Also when we're looking for dogs ped, remember we cant allways find it, the breeder/owner may have kc reg them, but doeosnt mean you can find them. Kenny is kc reg, but when i was checking him out, i couldnt find him

The stud's age doesn't matter. The only thing you have to be careful of is decreased fertility in an older dog.

If your dog is kc registered then you will be able to find a record of it by contacting the KC. As long as you have the registered name & a date of birth (preferably with sire & dam's name as well, although that isn't strictly necessary) there will be a record of him on the KC's computer files.
