chewing cupboards
Hi folks
sasha has just ripped the lining off the edge of one of the cupboards,i dont think its down to boardum as she has been playing in the living room most of today and she has plenty of toys to chew on i sprayed it with chew stoppa but that didnt work she was drawn to it more! so i sprayed some water on it and blew on some ground pepper she went back to it licked it and instantly ran away from it so it appears to be a detterant!
My Q is will the pepper do her anyharm other than annoy her if she goes back to that spot? or is there anything else i can do/use to prevent her chewing it further

Re: chewing cupboards
when I took Winston to puppy school , the lady suggested for dogs that chew things, to put vicks vapour rub on the area...they won't go near it in a hurry then!

I don't think pepper can do any harm tbh, also heard vinigar is a good one but I don't think I could live with the smell!!

Re: chewing cupboards
i had the same troubles with woody. he enjoyed the anti-chew sprays too and even chillies. i did the vicks vapor rub and it worked a treat. it also remains there for longer than other liquids

Re: chewing cupboards
i just went round and put a smear of vix on the surfaces she's most likely to chew the dosey bugger licked the lid then ran about in a complete hissy fit so i think she knows it tastes awfull hopefully this will do the trick otherwise i`l be forced to use a crate while we are away as the council will charge us an arm and leg to replace what she chews
