Carpet smells :(

Hi, I haven't posted for a while everything's gone ok with saffy recently she used to have the occasional accident on the carpet and now we are struggling to get rid of the smell and from using that many different cleaning products it's realy sticky. We've tried warm soapy water and even hired carpet cleaners and nothing does anyone have any good tips or is it time to get rid of the carpet? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

When Moo had her diareah episodes I did just use warm water with fairy liquid, and 1000+1 carpet cleaner. I washed it thoughly and washed it again when I got home. That with hoovering and drying it (put a towel down and walk over the patch) it lifted the area and the smell Xx

Ok thanks I'll just keep trying it, warm soapy water seems to have done the best job at getting rid of the stickyness so it might just take a few more goes lol x x

When Skye had little accidents on the carpet all I did was scrub it with warm, soapy water and when it dried sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on it the vac it up! It works wonders for removing odours does bicarb!
And it's cheap, about 60p per tub
