Christmas Dinner
I'm just watching something where they are saying having turkey at christmas is declining,
what meal do you have?
what meal do you have?
Re: Christmas Dinner
I voted chicken as it is only me, hubby and Rocky. Turkey would be a bit wasteful. Will be at mother in laws for Christmas day this year. No idea what she is doing yet. We are having our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve.

Re: Christmas Dinner
I hate turkey, and we will be having chicken as it's my OH favourite. I'd have lamb or beef but they cost more pennies

Re: Christmas Dinner
None of the above!
We have a quorn roast, with all the veg trimmings. Dempsey just has his normal food (he gets a dodgy tum very easily & different food gives him bum gravy!).

Re: Christmas Dinner
I'm hoping I get turkey this year. We usually go to my mums and last year she decided to have everything laid out in the kitchen buffet style, we all went through and piled up our own plates. Not wanting to be rude and push in in front of everyone I ended up being last. All that was left was a leg (I'm weird I cant eat meat off the bone) and honey roast ham sooo I decided this year it's elbows out and I'm at the front

We usually just go out to a restraunt. A bit lazy but after the Thanksgiving feast who wants to deal with the mess.

Re: Christmas Dinner
I like to bbq up a nice marinated tri-tip steak for Christmas dinner (a nice roasted turkey is thanksgiving - a roast for new years). Equi, the steak is alway free to all who join us for dinner. That is where the meat free is at.

Re: Christmas Dinner
We used to eat ham at Christmas. Turkey is for Thanksgiving in the US. Now that I'm a veggie I usually just eat side dishes.
