HELP!!!! IS HE A FULL STAFF????

Hi im new to this group but would love some opinions please. I have took in a 7 week old staffy pup and im unsure he is full staff or not. I was informed he is by the lad i took him off.. Took him to vets tonight and they said they dont think he is a full staffy as he is to white but ive seen loads ov white staffs. Also he was a little concerned that little Busta had pink on his nose and chest.. Im no expert far from it but im sure i have seen staffs wth pink on there chest and nose. Please any advice thanks.... Rob

Can't see any pics. I take it he isn't KC registered and hasn't papers? If not then you can't ever say whether he is full or crossed. Wouldn't worry there are white staffs and ones with coloured noses. I love mine all the same.

Unless he has papers you can never be a 100% sure if he is pure bred or not. Lovely all the same and certainly yummy Xx

You have a weird vet! How can a pied staff be too white? He looks a gorgeous lad, and looks very like a staff to me. Although as Janey says, unless you have a full pedigree you can't be absolutely sure that he hasn't got something else in his background.

I'm sorry but your vet is very misinformed if he thinks going by colour means he's not a full staff, my lad is almost all white with a few brindle patches!

Well, at that age isn't strange to be pink on the nose and chest. But when they grow the nose should be black.

And about the vet. Here is a picrure of one of our staffies with full pedigree when he was 7 weeks...Quite a lot white, isn't he?



Another example of totally white puppies is a litter a friend of mine had a couple of years ago. Five white staffies (the bitch was blackbrindle and the dog pied)

Yes, staffs can be any colour, near enough, including all white, so I don't know how the vet can say he's too white! Also, many white dogs have pink on their noses, it's all to do with lack of pigment, not what breed they are!

Again thanks very much for your comments.. My girlfriend took him today to be wormed and checked over. The vet said he was worried about the pink but ive seen a few pups like this. Im not sure if the vet was just being awkward because Busta has no papers.. Sanfor your pup is gorgeous and say very similer to little Busta

According to the breed standard, staffords' noses should be black. However, an all white (or nearly) dog may have less than perfect pigmentation & that will show in the nose. Although it's a breed fault, it doesn't mean he isn't a stafford!

I take it the vet is hinting that there may be pit bull present?

If you love your doggie, it doesn't matter

well thats the biggest load of dog poop i've ever heard! lol because his got alot of white and some pink his not a staffy lol .. my skye is white with brown patches when she was tiny she had pink around her muzzle and her chest her nose was like your boys when she was weeks old but and pure pink when she was days old but the older she got her nose turned completely black .. all of her brothers in the litter were white with patches and her one brother was pure white.

Her nose is now fully black she still has pinkness in her chest and sometimes around her muzzle but that is because of the white fur happens in all white dogs .. Her bro also as he grew older got his black nose.

Busta is a very cute puppy
If you love him it doesn't matter what he is or isn't.
My pup has no papers and I got a bit hung up initially about what she would look like/whether she was full staffy or not, but once you get them home you fall in love with them no matter what they turn out to be.

lmao like a qualified vet can say such rubbish!! my roxi was by far the pinkest dog id ever seen...and she is a full pedigree staffy dads a blue mums A PURE WHITE STAFFY!! ive attached a pic of roxi at 5/6 weeks

Ive always loved dalmation and staffies so one of those would have answered all my doggy dreams lol
