Weird behavior
So I bought a new comforter last night and put it on my bed. Monte was acting kinda weird about it, but I didn't think much of it. Later he went to put himself to bed (which is very unusual for him), but then changed his mind and came downstairs to where I was. When I went upstairs for bed, he had peed on the bed. WTH? He had been out and pottied plenty before so I know it wasn't that. Did the new blanket really freak him out that much or what do you think that could be? Only other time that he has done something like this was when he wasn't feeling well but that was on the floor. He does sleep on the bed, but I am at a loss. Sorry for the rambling.

Re: Weird behavior
I'd say he didn't like the newness of the blanket! It didn't seem right o him so he added his scent.
I bet he looked real sorry for himself afterwards!

Oh he did. I was really wonding when I got up to go upstairs why he slinked and gave me his cutest look, then when I went into the room he split off and went to the chair on the landing. I didn't scold or make a fuss, but I was def not cool with it. I didn't even get to try it out first! What is another $40 of dry cleaning. Next time, I'll put it on right before bed and watch him. Maybe if he has a good roll on it, that will take care of the smell right thing...

Re: Weird behavior
I know I shouldn't laugh, and if it'd happened to me I'd have been really p***ed off, but when it happens to someone else............it IS funny - sorry!

Re: Weird behavior
My wife and I did laugh to after the initial WTH? Just glad he didn't get the pillow. That would have been too much.

Re: Weird behavior
It certainly could be a scent thing. Suki has done this to our bed and couch as well Only once each though so hopefully it will be a one time thing for you as well because it certainly is distressing

Zaya used to do it all the time as a puppy....
She would "dig herself" to get comfy and then pee allover our bed. she did do it more then once tho =/
