rolling
Hi
Milly has had to have a shower 3 times in a week.Every time my oh or my son walk her on the field behind us,She comes back smelling realy horrible :sick:Its so bad it turns our stomach i have been told its fox poo why on earth does she want to smell like that. And also it worries me that she could pick something up of it that could make her ill. This isnt solid what she has on her when she rolls in it its more of a liquid i didnt think fox poo would be like a liquid.

Re: rolling
Fox poo isn't really a liquid though they do sqidge themselves right into it and it sort of smears, it is usually a very dark brown almost black colour if thats what it is. Dogs roll in other animal's scents to mask their own odour meaning they are less easily detectable by other predators and rivals and can get closer to prey qithout being smelt. It is an instinct thing they don't really think about it!
Dogs can catch parvo virus from fox faeces though if Milly is up-to-date with her vaccinations she should be fine!
