Sometimes dogs are stiff after they have had a sleep, but if you can please take the pup to the vets

He may have strained a muscle. Try to not let him jump and reduce the exercise to see if it helps.

It could be anything he really should have a check at the vets and maybe get him insured if your worried about big vet bills

Re: puppy is limping a lot
Has he had the limp since you got him.Or has the limp just started.Does he sleep on a dog bed.My male dog barney wont sleep on is bed why i dont know he would rather lay down on the wooden floors and when he gets up he limps around for a while afterwards.Maybe you should take him to the vets for piece of mind,I dont think they will charge you a lot just for his paw looked at.And if you arent working you can always take him to the pdsa.
