She wont play

My lil pupsy is 15weeks on fri (tomoz) and she doesnt play?? she jus likes to sit and have cuddles or a belly rub we have called her princess because if this haha my eldest son who is 3 and a hlaf she runs around with him in the park at home the garden trampoline but wont with me she also like to sit on my youngest feet (hes 2) and he plays peebo with her which she loves but me its jus cuddles? she would rather be sat on her bed covered in a blanket than play..... we have balls all shapes size and textures bones . again all sizes and textues shoes squeaky toys frisbees the lots we have tried throwin rollin them but she turns her nose up and walks off or climbs onto ur lap n just wants cuddles.........is she just a princess??

It's unusual. But maybe you just haven't found the right toy yet? Have you tried a tug toy?

Also, don't give her all of the toys at once, just get one or two out at a time.

I wanted to call my first princess, the other half at the time wasn't having any of it, although I did go off the idea, not that its a bad name just wouldn't have suited her because she certainly wasn't

enjoy iot whilst you can cos when she finds her personality it may be playtime 24/7!!!

That is a bit unusual. Have you tried a Kong with some food stuffed inside? That should be irresistable.

Have you tried getting down on her level? Some pups feel intimidated and if she's fine with your toddlers it may just be that. Possibly overwhelmed too

Daft as it sounds, just lay on the carpet with her. Offer her toys from there. Yes, you will look a total plonker. But who cares? Might be best too if you can do this at first with the little ones in bed/at nursery ?? Just until she's more confident maybe

the kong toy i did think of that is that with the foam stuff u put inside??? ived tried rollin around on the floor with her she jus licks my face then lays under me / haha she follows me everywhere and is like my shadow but jus doesnt like to play with me >........... i have tried when boys in bed but nothing shes has totally confuzzled me as my old staffy was totally different ??? blessher

Maybe she just needs time to 'come out of herself'. In a few weeks you'll probably look back at this thread and wish it was still the same! >

How long have you had her? She is still young and sometimes it takes them some time to get used to things and devolp their personality.

Some dogs arn't toy motivated, Ruby isnt that bothered in much unless it involves food, or her daddy, try a Kong stuffed with treats, for Beau, cos he is only 9 weeks old i spread a bit of cheese spread inside and he loves it!! xx good luck, you'll soon change your tune when thats all she wants! lol

As your staffy grows a bit stronger and can run faster, hopefully the idea of playing will be more appealing to her. I'd keep persisting with the various toys, have you tried fetch outside? Something small like a tennis ball or a small stick.

I'm not sure if mine play? they prefer wrestling and they do a brilliant impersonation of Tasmanian devils.They have perfected silent wrestling which they do on my kingsize bed and hope i wont catch them. They do love killing stuffed toys though.
