hiya,
Having some probs with Jem atm,
she seems not to want to eat her food, she has a mix of tray and dry as she wont eat dry.
we have cut her morning meal down to half, as she doesnt eat it anymore,
she dnt seem bothered about her evening meal either, unless ive taken her out for a walk, then she will eat it fine.
she is generally a lazy dog who sleeps all day, does this have ne thing to do with it?

advice plz Smile

We've been here before I seem to remember, She won't let herself starve, Moo doesn't always eat her tea and she is a very active dog. You could try swapping foods again but if she is ok in herself then I wouldn't worry, she'll eat when she wants too!

We had the same with Dempsey so we changed his routine. He now has a long walk first thing, followed, about an hour later by a small breakfast & then his main walk is about 3pm, when my oh generally takes him out for about an hour or an hour & a half. Again, about an hour - 2 hours after he comes back I give him his main evening meal which he's really ready for by then. Then I take him for a short walk before bed, about 10 - 11pm.

As long as you wait for at least an hour afterwards before giving her dinner as otherwise it could lead to bloat.

Winston can be hit or miss with his grub too!! ( he is 7 months old ) To start with he ate anything and everything... now he is alot fussier, and sniffs his food before deciding whether to eat it. So I started giving him good quality dry biscuits for breakfast and leaving them out but sometimes it will be 3 pm and he hasn't touched them! He loved fish so I cooked him up fish and then he decided no he didn't like fish..aaahh!!! Now he either eats it.. or he goes without!!

I am having the same problem with Lola, I thought it was the dry food we were giving her, and getting older I thought I'll try some bakers complete adult dry food, 2 good handfulls mixed with about half a tin of butchers puppy food, which she still turns her nose up at, I came to the conclusion that she may have way too much food now she has finished growing her frame and put 1/4 tin of meat and a handfull of bakers, still no change, she picks as and when, ironically she will demolish the cat food given half a chance and will watch us eat and no doubt eat anything we offered her from our own food, though this rarely if ever happens, I have also noticed she really doesn't like the meaty chunks in the bakers, spitting them out on the floor around her bowl, but if you offer them as a treat she will eat them????

..well now I give Winston puppy biscuits for breakfast and at night time he gets whatever is going ..sometimes raw..sometimes cooked... and if he doesn't eat it .well after a little while I take it off him, and he doesn't get anything....guess what! He normally eats whatever I give him now..think he has learnt eat it or go without!! Maybe I am a cruel mummy.. but I was sick of all the food wasted..I can't give it to Jethro as he gets"senior" dog food..Winston gets "puppy"..

At the risk of upsetting the company (again!), please don't use Bakers. It's absolutely packed full of additives - colours/flavours/fillers which can all lead to hyperactivity & allergies. There are plenty of other reasonably priced dry foods that are much better for your dog.........

I used to feed my Diesel Wainwrights Dry on top of the wet tray food... but have since been told by a trainer that I should feed her 1 or the other as feeding the wet n dry together can upset their tummys because the dry digests a lot slower than the wet.

kinda makes sence when u think about it.

So now she just has wainwright tray [wet] and cleans her bowl each meal time.
