Post by spike08 Mon Jul 18 2011, 03:05

Hi all just wondering if you guys can give us some advice. My gawjus Spike doesn't seem to be drinking his water at the mo.....We have recently change his food from dry food(James welbeloved) to wet food (Nature Diet) he's still his normal happy self playing and just being Spike.

Do you think we should be worried or take him vets?? He's water works seem to be fine any advice would be great Smile

I would be guessing its due to the wet food diet, he is probably getting most of his needs through the food, and isn't getting thirsty like he would with dry!

I don't think you can be overcautious. A trip to the vet can never hurt.

If he isn't drinking at all, I'd take him to the vets. If his drinking has just reduced, then I probably wouldn't worry.

Don't have anything to add, just that if he doesn't drink at all then a trip to the vets wont hurt but if it's just reduced it's probably due to eating the wet food.
